Based on the Apple Books app, I decided to make adjustments to the interface that combined certain functions to streamline the user experience.

The redesigned app has newly incorporated features such as a playlist option, social page, and subscription plans. Users can listen to music or sound effects playlists while reading their books. These playlists are curated by the author and other users of the app. Users will be able to follow other users to see what is being read.

To develop the app, I first identified issues, such as combining sorting features or reading features. Then, I did a short general survey to get an idea on whether or not readers would be interested in being able to listen to curated playlists while reading. I compiled all my ideas, created interactive screens in Figma, recruited five people to test the app, and then finalized my design.
